Making tax digital for income tax.

( MTD for ITSA)  

From April 2026, those that are impacted by MTD for ITSA will need to use MTD-compatible software to keep digital records and submit updates to HMRC   

This means you’ll no longer be able to use the online HMRC portal, or the paper (mail) filing system if you're a landlord or self-employed person earning above £50,000. 

In the space of one tax year, you’ll need to send:

• Four  quarterly updates, using your MTD-compatible software
• One Final Declaration, by January 31st

  Sole traders and landlords earning above £30,000 will follow in April 2027.

Those earning above £20,000 will need to join the system at a later date.

Are you or your company VAT registered? Then you need to file a VAT return. We can easily add this to your package to make the process easy for you.
